News From ASET - January 16, 2003

Attention all ASET Members and Participants:

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, February 9, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. for a fundraising reception and dinner with Don Young, Chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Americans for Safe and Efficient Transportation and the American Trucking Associations will co-host the reception and dinner. The reception will be held at the ATA Townhouse and Conference Facility at 434 First Street, S.E. and will begin at 7:00 p.m. with dinner immediately following. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a photo opportunity with Chairman Young during the reception.

Chairman Young represents Alaska’s sole at-large Congressional District, and took over the chairmanship of the T&I Committee at the start of the 107th Congress in 2001. Chairman Young has a unique perspective on the trucking industry and a reputation as a fair-minded legislator, and supporting his re-election campaign in 2004 should be a top priority for our coalition.

Your personal or PAC contribution of $1,000 should be made payable to: Alaskans for Don Young, P.O. Box 100298, Anchorage, AK, 99510. You may mail your contribution to Chairman Young’s campaign prior to the dinner or present it to his campaign staff directly at the event.
